Gilbert Machado

Gilbert was born a native of the Dominican Republic, finding his way to the united states. While in High school his uncle brought him a comic book, gilbert was fascinated by the artwork and started to replicate the figures. Because of his talents in drawing his family and friends encouraged Gilbert to get into Tattooing. He did not care for the artwork that was out there and wanted to make a change. Gilbert was enrolled in Miami High Technical school for advertising design, upon finishing there he then enrolled into the Art Institute for advertising design and computer animation.

While in college he received his first job Tattooing at Alternative Art Tattoo where he was there for a year. After there he spent the next 13 years at Funhouse Tattoo. Gilbert has won countless awards and citations for his Tattoo work, he is a Master at his craft. After all of this work Gilbert is now one of the owners here at Black Rose tattoo shop.

Jimmy Tattoo Tomes

Name: Jimmy Tattoo Tomes
Jimmy was born 1980 in Detroit Mi., he started his tattooing apprenticeship in 1995 at a family run Tattoo shop called Finest Touch Tattoos in Detroit Mi.. After working their for many years he and his wife Terry decided to move to Florida in 2007. Jimmy worked for the next three years at a Boca Raton Tattoo shop before becoming a part of the Black rose team. His passion is doing Black and Grey mostly but he does have a great eye for colored Tattoos as well.

Jason Owens

Jason is the youngest member of the Black Rose crew, but that does NOT show in his Tattoos…

Jason had a very extensive hands on apprenticeship which began in Cape Coral Fl. This training brought him down to South Florida where he has been shown the ropes by many well respected Tattooers from all over the state and beyond… Jason’s specialty is Traditional to elaborate lettering… to custom pieces! Jason continues to further his Knowledge and education of the Tattoo Industry everyday!

Tiffany Holley

Black Rose Tattoo’s resident permanent makeup artist. Tiffany is a Graduate from the Academy of Cosmetic Arts and Sciences in Boca Raton, FL and is also trained in Universal Precautions and Blood borne Pathogens by the American Red Cross. She is a Certified Micropigmentologist, trained in both permanent makeup and para-medical micro-pigmentation procedures including scar camouflage, areola re-pigmentation, and Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)/Intradermabrasion to remove scars, stretch marks, fine lines/wrinkles, and cellulite. Tiffany loves working with women to improve their appearance and to make their lives easier through permanent makeup application. She takes on each and every client as a new and exciting challenge and devotes herself to getting the desired results. Tiffany takes the time to make every client feel as safe and comfortable as possible during their procedure and uses topical numbing agents to make the process completely painless. Keith Zahra

Keith Zahra: est. 1968 Bay Ridge, Brooklyn was a Crayola Crayon master. Traditionally trained in oil painting, he later earned a BFA in Editorial Illustration from the acclaimed School of Visual Arts in NYC. Zahra is a multi-powered artist that has years of experience working in different mediums professionally which includes airbrushing, glass etching, screen printing, murals, photography, textiles and all forms of paint and applications. His experience includes over 20 years of being a freelance artist -including being a very successful tattoo shop owner for 13 years. Zahra was responsible for opening one of the first tattoo shops in New York State to integrate a legitimate fine art gallery. There, he successfully fought against the City of Beacon government for constitutional violations in tattooing with a New York Supreme Court lawsuit. He became co-founder and promoter of The Hudson Valley Social Pariah Festival in New York, and his art work has been shown in multiple publications which include The New York Times, Time-Out New York, Whitney Museum Biennial, Museum of Modern Art NYC, Tattoo Society and a few other magazines. At the present moment in time Mr. Zahra has relocated and has joined the Southern Florida tattoo scene to exclusively create art and to travel the world.
